Your beloved Bayside Tigers are on one of their patented runs to the championship again. We have strung together four wins in a row and have gone from 6th to 3rd place in 3 weeks. We're coming for you Firehouse & Lear Hawk.
Last week we were visitors for a record 38th straight game. We used that to our advantage by jumping on the chicken slinging boys from Buffalo Wild Wings from the get go. We scored 3 in the first & 3 in the second. Turns out that would have been enough as they could only muster 4 runs against our steel trap of a defense. The final score was 17-4 or something like that. It's hard to remember because I drink so much celebratory beer after each game.
Highlights of the game included 2 tomahawk bombs by Brett, a 1-5-2-6 double play administered by us, Dad got thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double, Hunnel made an amazing diving catch in RCF, Unit didn't tag on a fly & T-Money missed the cut off man.
We are preparing to play Lear Hawk this week in a game that will determine if we are contenders or pretenders. Last time we played them they loaded up with 3 D1 athletes that I recognized. They had better bring 3 more this time if they want to have a chance because we are tuned up and ready to roll.
Here is a little something to get the team juiced up...
